Robert Kubica, Yifei Ye e Robert Shwartzman hanno conquistato la prima vittoria della stagione per la Ferrari 499P di AF Corse dopo un finale appassionante che li ha visti prevalere di soli 1″780.
Il successo della gialla 499P porta a sei i vincitori delle singole gare del WEC 2024 quando mancano due prove alla fine del campionato.
Oltre 65.000 spettatori hanno assistito alla gara, con Shwarzman che è riuscito a difendere fino all’ultimo la prima posizione dagli attacchi di Kamui Kobayashi al volante della Toyota GR010.
In classe LMGT3, Alex Riberas ha tagliato vittoriosamente il traguardo con l’Aston Martin dell’Heart of Race Team, assicurandosi con Ian James e Daniel Mancinelli il loro primo successo nel FIA-WEC, ed anche il primo della Vantage e del team americano nel campionato del mondo. La Aston numero 27 ha tagliato il traguardo con un vantaggio di 20″5 sul resto del gruppo, precedendo le due Porsche del Manthey Racing.
