Wright e Strutt di nuovo al lavoro: artigiani della resina

Dopo il bel volume sugli artigiani del metallo bianco (di cui leggete qui: http://www.forum-duegieditrice.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=58736&hilit=lettura) gli inglesi David Wright e Ray Strutt si sono messi al lavoro su un\’opera probabilmente ancora più complessa, che parlerà degli artigiani della resina. Forse non un vero e proprio elenco di tutte le marche, ma piuttosto una storia delle persone che hanno dato vita a marchi più o meno longevi. Circa 180 nomi di produttori sono stati già recensiti, e di questi sono stati compilati già 65 capitoli. In una mail David Wright, col quale sto collaborando per fare luce su alcuni aspetti (nei limiti del possibile), mi ha trasmesso questo messaggio da pubblicare nel blog:

I have been very pleased at the response from traders and collectors around the world to the book that Ray Strutt and I wrote about those model makers that have worked with white metal – ‘The History of White Metal Transport Modelling’ and many have commented on how they cannot put it down! Very many have also asked – ‘What about resin?’ And so the research has begun into the artisans who have always worked with resin to make their models. I am finding this a fascinating journey, as while white metal was mainly UK, USA, and Germany, resin is the province of the many single artisans in Italy and France, together with new entrants from Eastern Europe.
